Volunteer!
At Community Health Connect our work is only accomplished through the great efforts of volunteers like you! We are always looking for volunteers to help in a variety of areas including interpretation, office work, education, and more. Volunteer providers and those interested in contributing financially, please see the links to your left. For more detailed information on other volunteer opportunities, please see below.
Education
We participate in many forms of health education. We regularly attend health fairs, teach oral health classes, and provide information on diabetes and related health issues. If you are interested in volunteering as an educator or presenter, please contact Danelle Holdaway at 801.429.2029 or danelle@communityhealthconnect.org
Interpreters
To help reduce barriers to care, Community Health Connect arranges for interpreters to assist patients at appointments if necessary. Interpreters meet patients at appointments and interpret for doctors and patients. Most patients needing an interpreter speak Spanish, but other languages are also welcome. Interpreters must be fluent in a second language. Experience with medical and dental terminology and practice is helpful, but assistance with medical terminology is available. If you are interested in becoming an interpreter, contact Liz Granados at 818-3015 or liz@communityhealthconnect.org
Office Work
We always need extra help around the office. This includes the usual office work like answering phones, filing, data entry, and customer service, but can also include projects focused on your interests. If you are interested in management or administrative work, let us know. We love dedicated volunteers who are self-motivated and driven. If you are interested in volunteering in our office, please contact Starr Stratford at 801.818.3012 or starr@communityhealthconnect.org
