Important Information
Our care coordinator positions are AmeriCorps positions, and each October we are looking for new people for these jobs. This is a one year committment of 1700 hours of service in exchange for a living stipend, education award, and great experience.
Position Summary:
Care coordinators work with clients and healthcare providers to schedule appointments and coordinate healthcare services for low-income, uninsured clients. Responsibilities include:
- Greet clients and assist them with our application process
- Review client applications
- Schedule appointments with participating providers
- Arrange interpretation services for appointments when needed
- Coordinate health education classes
- Attend health fairs
- Coordinate emergency dental clinic
- Assist with other office and outreach duties as necessary
Qualifications:
Must be bilingual Spanish/English. Must be at least 18 years old and be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
Hours and Compensation:
This position is a full-time AmeriCorps position. Requires 1700 hours (about 35 hours a week) Living stipend of about $850/month and education award for $4,725.
